I understood I was bidding on a salvage lot. I know salvage lots of cosmetics will have a lot of unsellable items. But this has got the be the most unsellable salvage lot of all salvage lots ever. The description started out with the phrase "A lot items are in like new condition." I assumed "a lot" would mean more than 5% of the lot, but I was wrong. Most of the description was dedicated to listing the BareMinerals products included in the lot - product names, colors, and quantities. Nearly half of the lot was indeed BareMinerals products. However, over 95% of the BareMinerals items were very obviously USED RETURNS. I may be able to sell about 15 or 20 items. Another approximate half of the lot was Maybelline Brow Drama Pro. However the majority of it has heat damage. Less than half of these are sellable, and only then as "unsealed" because the heat also caused the seals to be broken on most of them. The remainder of the lot is about 10 NARS cosmetics which are so old that the plastic cases are sticky (this is a problem with NARS as they age) and a small random assortment of drugstore brand cosmetics, most of which are unsellable. Again, this seller started their description with "A lot items are in like new condition." The more accurate description is "Over 95% is either USED or VERY OLD or HEAT DAMAGED and should be thrown away." The only positive thing about this buying experience is that the lesson cost me less than $500.
